** The filename of this text file should be either the same as the file you are uploading, or your surname and/or membership number/Date etc (Example - Smith123.txt, Brown1863.txt) All files should be named consecutively.
Please read the Conditions which can be found here before uploading any file. All files that are uploaded are confirmation that you have read and accepted the conditions.
If you wish to share a transcription or a photo, you can upload the files to the Web Site by entering the file name in the box above. Any transcription is welcome, be it from a Parish Register or even notes taken from an elderly relative. A Gedcom (created by a Family History Program) of a family that you have been researching could assist others researching the same surnames. Also any old photo's of ancestors or parts of the Isle of Axholme can be uploaded
Please do not try to upload a file with the extension "exe" as it will be instantly deleated as a precaution against internet viruses. Bitmap graphics files "bmp" are rather large image files and take up valuable space so we cannot allow these files also. It is only possible to upload files with the folowing three letter extensions:
After a file is uploaded to the server, it will be scanned with an Anti-Virus program. Although this is part of the process, it is up to the individual that downloads the file to check this with their own Anti-Virus Software.All files will be screened to make sure they are suitable for inclusion. They will then be made available for download. Unfortunately the Web Site cannot be updated immediately a file has been uploaded, but hopefully this will be done within only a few days.
Any other file that is uploaded that is either not related to Family History, or not accompanied by an explanitary text file will be immediately deleted. Our Server space is precious and any file that is not entirely relevant to the Isle of Axholme Family History will be removed to make way for more "closer to home" files.
